1/2 hour after sunrise to 1/2 hour before sunset; no weekend travel; no travel from 6:30-9am & 4-6pm
Loads over 13'6" wide or over 14' high can travel Tuesday thru Thursday 9:00am to 4:00pm
No travel New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day,Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day

Over 14’ high-1 front pilot w/ height pole (route survey if 14’1” high or greater)

Requirements for Pilot/Escort Vehicle
Size: Min. 60” wide; max. capacity 1½ ton
Signs: Mounted 48” above roadway (min.); 7’x18”; black letters 8” high (min.) on yellow background: “OVERSIZE LOAD FOLLOWING”/”OVERSIZE LOAD AHEAD” preferred
Lights: Top mounted flashing or rotating amber lights visible for 1000’
Flags: 18” square on front & rear corners of vehicle
Additional equipment: 2-way radio communication between escort & load; red hand flag; red vest/jacket
Amber light permit required. Apply at MVD.
