TRAVEL TIMES/CONDITIONS:  

Time: Continuous travel allowed Mon-Sat if load doesn’t exceed 12’ W, 95’ L or 16’ H.  Day travel only if load exceeds 12’2” W, 96’2” L (specialized equipment) or 82’1” L (semi-trailer w/ overhang), 16’1” H or 9’11” overhang beyond trailer.  Unless permit specifies otherwise, no travel is permitted Sundays or holidays if load is over 9’11” W or 75’5” L.  7/1-Labor Day travel is not allowed after 3 pm Friday then resumes Saturday.


Visibility- No travel allowed if load is over 9’10” W or 75’6” L and visibility is less than 3,280’ or when road surface is slippery.


Spring Weight Restrictions:  For secondary highways only, usually from 3/15-4/1 (depending on weather) air pressure of tires should be 350 lbs./Inch width of tire & 390 lbs./Inch width of tire on steering axle rather than the typical 500 lbs./Inch width of tire.


Holidays:  No travel on: New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Remembrance Day, Christmas Day, Boxing Day.

 Any Friday if the following Monday is a holiday or the day before a holiday .

     12/23 if Christmas Day is on Sunday

     12/24 & 12/31

When Christmas & New Year’s  Day fall on  Sunday no travel allowed  12/24, 12/26, 12/27, 12/31, or Jan. 2 if the load is  over 9’10” wide or 75’6” long.


Other Travel Prohibitions:

 Weekends: No travel allowed 3 pm-12 am for loads over 10’6” wide or 75’6” long-

     Fridays during summer from Friday before Canada Day until Labor Day.
